Yam Dwar

Yam Dwar is situated in Tibet (Tarboche) at an elevation of approx. 15500 feet, that takes 15 Kms drive distance from Darchen. The meaning of the Yam Dwar in the Hindi language is “the gateway of the God of Death”. It is the starting point of the circumambulation of Mount Kailash. Therefore, it has a prominent position in Hinduism. To visit the Shiva’s home, one must pass through the Yama Dwar. It is the starting point of Kailash Tour. As per belief, the Yamraj himself guard this home of Lord Shiva. The lord of death is we called Yama and the Dwar we called as Gate therefore, it’s called Yam Dwar. Yama, who brings mortal souls to his Yamlok and make the judgment of one’s merit & sins. According to belief when a person pass the yam dwar and get rid from his sin- so his soul travel to shivlok directely after his death.

Tibetan People believe that Kailash is the home of ‘Demchok’ (Demchok is the name of their deity). Therefore, every year, they establish a new prayer flag-pole in Tarboche. The colorful Tibetan flags have its depth meaning. Therefore, Tibetans arrange flags in the specific color sequence which is “blue, white, red, green, yellow”. They arrange flags from left to right. Blue colored flag is a representation of the sky, the white color is of air, the red color of fire, the green color is of water, and the yellow color is of earth. Therefore, all these flags together represent the balance establishing life on earth.

It’s an entrance that a devil power may never pass through. This way, Yamraj also shows his devotion to Lord Shiva by protecting the bhaktas of Bholey. As per Hindu mythology, if you just complete the circumambulation of Yam Dwar, you have completed the Kailash Yaatra. As per Hindu mythology, after completing the Yam Dwar Cicumbulation, Individual will get the place in heaven. Yam has the duty to judge you deeds after your death. But, as per belief, if you pass through this dwar then Chitra gupta removes all your evil deeds from the book of judgment. Chitragupta is the accountant of Yamraj. He keeps accounts of all good and bad deeds of each and every individual. In Hindu Mythology, there are so many stories about this holy yam Dwar that proves how much auspicious and powerful this Dwar is. Therefore, you must see it once.

Deraphuk Gompa First Destination of Mount Kailash Parikrama: Most of the first day will be walking along the river bed. Your day starts at the south face of Mount Kailash and ends at the North face called Deraphuk Gompa.

Dolma La Pass: The holy Parikrama of mount Kailash includes many dangerous treks. The one from Diraphuk to Zongzebru is considered to be such a tough trek. Usually one faces it on the very second day of the Kailash Parikrama. This trek is considered to be the toughest trek of the entire Kailash Parikrama. One has to cover 26 kilometres from Diraphuk to Zongzerbu and also cross the Dolma La Pass at an elevation of 19500 feet. It’s not only the highest altitude that makes the pass very tough one to cross; weather could change here at any moment, and this unpredictability of weather makes the trek all the more dangerous. As one begins the ascent towards the Dolma La Pass in the background one can see the north-eastern face of Mount Kailash.

Kathmandu

Perched high in the Himalayas on the roof of the world, Nepal has long been regarded as a mysterious country steeped in history and legend. For many years it remained cut off from the rest of the world adding to its attraction for many would-be visitors. It has even been suggested that Nepal’s Kathmandu Valley was the inspiration for the fictional mountain paradise “Shangri-La” in James Hilton’s 1933 novel, Lost Horizon. Today most people know Kathmandu as the capital city of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal but the name also refers to the large area set within a bowl-shaped valley.

Kathmandu is a bustling place with lots going on at all times but visiting during one of the many festivals is particularly exciting. Most of Kathmandu’s festivals are of religious significance and go back hundreds of years and they represent a step back in time. There are too many to list individually but each year there are 133 different festivals so there is always a good chance of experiencing at least one of these remarkable spectacles. A more recent addition to the festival calendar is the Kathmandu Jazz Festival (established in 2002) where the influence of western music has appeared. This festival is commonly known as the “Jazzmandu”.

Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu: One of the holiest Hindu shrines in Nepal, the Pashupatinath Temple is stretched across both the banks of the beautiful and sacred Bagmati River on the eastern fringes of the capital city of Kathmandu. The magnificent sanctum devoted to Lord Shiva draws in thousands of devotees who come to offer their prayers and seek blessings from him. Sprawled over a large area with temples and ashrams, it is believed that the Jyotirlinga housed in the Pashupatinath temple is the head of the body which is made up of the twelve Jyotirlinga in India. In 1979, the magnificent temple was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Budhanilkantha Temple: Hindu temple in Nepal, Budhanilkantha Temple, located in Budhanilkantha, Nepal, is a Hindu open air temple dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu. Budhanilkantha Temple is situated below the Shivapuri Hill at the northern end of the Kathmandu valley. and can be identified by a large reclining statue of Lord Mahavishnu.

Nepalgunj, also spelled Nepalganj, is a Sub-Metropolitan City in Banke District, Nepal. It lies on the Terai plains near the southern border with Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh, India. Nepalgunj is 153 kilometers south-west of Ghorahi and 16 km south of Kohalpur.

Simikot, Limi Valley Trek is one of the beautiful and adventurous trails of north-west region in Nepal. The area is full of picturesque scenes of landscapes, vegetations and natural life. The valley trek offers superb views, ethnicity, culture, lifestyle, tradition, language and so on. Day 5	After breakfast drive to mansarover lake. en-route will see raksas tal. Today is the day of lifetime as you have the first sight of holy kailash and Mansarover lake. The water will flow from eyes, as the soul has got its food, a great satisfaction- everybody can observe, these movements, cannot express in words… overnight will be at chu – gompa near by mansarover, Overnight will feel as Dreams comes true as you can find the stars are coming down to have a holy Dip in the holy lake. Day 6	Morning drive near to Yama Dwar via Darchen. Here you will meet our yaks and yak men. We will load all logistics on yaks and start Parikrama. Visit Yama Dwar on the way. Day 7	Early morning trek uphill Dolmala Pass. It takes about 4 to 5 hours. After reaching top of the pass 5800 m then trek down to the valley f loor. It takes another 4 to 5 hours. After cross Dolmala when you move down you see Gauri Kunda. This day is the longest and toughest day of Parikarma. So be prepared in mind accordingly. Policy Of Cancellation Of Trip:

A charge of 25% will be applied for any cancellation made prior to 90 days of departure date.
A charge of 50% will be applied for any cancellation made prior to 60 days of departure date.
A charge of 75% will be applied for any cancellation made prior to 30 days of departure date.
No refund for any cancellation made thereafter.
Verbal cancellation will not be entertained.

As all the tour programs are conducted strictly under the rules and regulations of Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB), Luxury Vacations and Holidays will not be accountable for any changes due to change of official rules and laws of Tibet. Moreover Luxury Vacations and Holidays will also not be liable for any changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstances such as landslide, road blockage, earthquake, flood, snow, political unrest, and cancellation of flight due to the changes in weather, sickness and accidents. Any extra cost arising due to the above circumstances shall be borne by the clients on the spot. .
