A sightseeing tour around Muscat, the capital of Oman, is a great chance to soak up the Arabic atmosphere and explore the city where the ancient architecture and monuments are combined with modern life.  The first sight on the tour is Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque which is truly a masterpiece of world architecture. It took 6 years to erect it and in 2001 it was successfully opened. This mosque is a traditional light Islamic building made from sandstone and marble. It has got 5 minarets – one main and 4 side minarets which create a special distinctive look. The internal design is rich in mosaics, huge handmade Persian carpets, and chandeliers decorated with crystals.   Our next stop is the Royal Opera House – the pearl of Oman musical and stage art.   The third sight we can’t avoid seeing is Muttrah Souq – the market located right at the banks of the Gulf of Oman. That’s an ideal place if you want to have a look at the ordinary life of Oman. Just go along the rows, look for the items, bargain and have fun as here you can find everything starting from spices and finishing to traditional rugs, vases, or just souvenirs.  Having seen the market, we should also look at the Mutrah fort. The fort leads its history in the 1580s when the Portuguese built it. It served as a military defense from rivals in the past, but today it’s open for tourists. The next thing in Muscat to see is a well-known Al Alam Palace — the residence of Sultan Qaboos. From both sides the forts surround the palace, so you’ll likely enjoy the magnificent scenery. Located in the center of the city, it always attracts a lot of visitors and, although people are not allowed to go in, they can easily go around and take cool photos. Overnight in Muscat.

We drive to Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman. At Nizwa you will visit Nizwa Fort and the Traditional Souk. From there you will travel to Al Hamra one of the oldest villages in Oman at the foot of the Hajar Mountains we take a walk around the mud brick houses before continuing our journey onwards and upward to The Green Mountain', stopping on the way for amazing views of the Hajar Mountains. Even on the hottest days, it's nice and cools up here. Jebel Akhdar is famous for its labyrinth of wadis and terraced orchards, where pomegranates, apricots, and roses grow in abundance due to its mild Mediterranean climate. It provides spectacular scenery, ancient rock carvings, and remote villages. Overnight in Mountains.

07:00 After breakfast we e head toward Wadi Bani Khalid. Here we stop for refreshing swimming in fresh deep pools and explore the hidden Mukal Cave. Relax under the sun and feel a nice breeze from the mountains. After tasty lunch in the Wadi, we then drive to Bidiya village.  Today we are going to visit a Bedouin family in the desert. After spending some time with the family and enjoying Omani coffee and dates, we arrive at the desert camp.  In the evening we drive deep into the desert to watch the sunset from the dunes and take amazing photographs.  BBQ dinner at the camp. After dinner enjoys a friendly conversation with friends around the campfire.Overnight in Desert Camp.

Depart the hotel after breakfast, then today we drive to Sur, In the morning we will show you the City of Sur with some old fortresses and the famous Arabian Dhow Factory, where you can see traditional wooden Dhows being built. Soon after, the tour continues to Ras Al Jinz. We will check in to our hotel and then make our way to the turtle sanctuary in Ras Al Jinz. At this point, the evening sky will take over and we will take a guided tour on the beautiful beach under the stars where we have a good chance of seeing Oman’s great sea turtles making their way onto the beach to build their nests and lay their eggs.  If we are lucky, we may see baby turtles hatching from the eggs.

From Ras al Jinz we start our journey toward to East Coast and have our first stop at the Bimmah sinkhole. Have a short swim here and lead to the entrance of Wadi Shab.  Here, after crossing the lake on a board of a small ferry, we start hiking in Wadi Shab. It is an easy hike leading us to the beautiful fresh pools where we can enjoy swimming in the hidden cavern with a waterfall. Then we continue to Wadi Tiwi and have an adventurous drive on off-road steep roads of the wadi with local villages, falaj systems, and lash plantations of mangoes, date trees, papayas, bananas, oranges, and limes. By evening we arrive at the hotel in Muscat.

Dolphins visit the sultanate of Oman in large quantities and They can be seen all year. It’s very exciting to watch the dolphins while they swim around the boat and jump while they feed on sardines and other small fish. The dolphins are not located in a certain place it can be found at any distance offshore. While we are very good at locating dolphins there are no guarantees that on every trip dolphins will be seen. After watching the dolphins, you can enjoy and take snorkeling below the surface and discover the mystery of the undersea from the colorful coral reefs to unique and stunning marine life.

The trip ends after breakfast at our hotel in Muscat. There are no activities planned today, so you are free to depart from Muscat at any time. If your flight is departing later in the day, luggage storage facilities are available at our hotel. Please inform the company of the pickup time at the airport.
